Wells built
The lack of basic infrastructure makes everyday life a constant challenge: no roads, no electricity, no toilets, water, or food. Without wells, women must travel long distances daily to fetch water, often from polluted sources like streams, improvised pits, or stagnant ponds, posing serious health risks.
Piantando and Il Pozzo dei Desideri prove that access to clean water is a simple yet long-lasting solution that can transform the lives of communities, improving their health and future.
By registering the unique code received after your purchase, you’ll get a digital certificate with all the details:
the geolocation of the village and the newly built well
information about the village and how many inhabitants live there
receive updates on the project and future activities
The location is chosen based on three criteria: population density, the quality of the current water source, and the distance to the nearest existing well.
Once the village is chosen, a drilling rig is rented, a local team is selected, and necessary materials—pipes, pumps, cement—are purchased.
Drilling begins in search of water. Once water is found, a team of builders pours a cement base as support for the well.
The final stage involves assembling the well’s components and performing periodic maintenance to ensure long-term durability.
